By registering for, accessing, or participating in DemoDay (available at demoday.lt), operated by WE HUMAN, MB, you agree to these Terms of Use in full. If you do not agree, do not register or participate.
These Terms apply to all participants (engineers), partner companies, and website visitors. They govern your use of the DemoDay platform, challenge participation, prize eligibility, and AI-assisted evaluation.
DemoDay is a 48-hour online paid engineering challenge where individual developers solve real tasks posted by partner companies using AI tools. Top submissions win cash prizes. Partner companies may extend employment offers to top builders at their sole discretion.
DemoDay is not a recruitment agency. We facilitate the challenge; we do not guarantee employment, interviews, or job offers to any participant.
4.1 Submission requirements
4.2 Judging
4.3 Disqualification
We reserve the right to disqualify any participant for: submission of ineligible work, violation of these Terms, abusive behaviour, or any conduct that undermines the integrity of the challenge.
6.1 What you grant by submitting
By submitting your work to DemoDay and accepting these Terms at registration, you grant the partner company whose task you completed a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, and deploy your submission for their internal business purposes.
This licence is granted in exchange for the prize contribution funded by that company. The prize payment constitutes the consideration for this licence — no additional payment is required for the company to use your submission internally.
6.2 What you keep
6.3 What the licence does not cover
6.4 Starter repos provided by companies
If a company provides a starter repository, that repo remains their property. Any code you add on top of it is governed by clause 6.1 above. You may not use a company-provided starter repo outside the challenge without their express permission.
6.5 Informed consent at registration
Engineers are required to explicitly confirm this IP arrangement via a separate consent checkbox at registration — before submitting any work. Participation without completing that consent step is not permitted.
6.6 Platform content
All DemoDay branding, design, task briefs, and platform code are owned by WE HUMAN, MB. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute platform content without written permission.
DemoDay uses Anthropic Claude to assist in scoring submissions. This constitutes a high-risk AI system under EU AI Act Annex III, Section 4.
Partner companies post tasks and judge submissions independently. They are under no obligation to extend job offers, interviews, or further engagement to any participant, including top-ranked ones.
Any hiring process that follows from DemoDay participation is a direct matter between the participant and the company. WE HUMAN, MB is not a party to any employment contract or offer.
A €999 flat placement fee applies to companies that hire a participant within 6 months of an edition. This does not affect the participant's compensation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vilnius, Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
For informal resolution, contact us first at hello@demoday.lt — we aim to resolve disputes within 14 days.
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered participants at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued participation after that date constitutes acceptance.
